Sodo: Zen Meditation Timer

Terms of use

Last updated:

These terms cover your use of the Sodo app, made by EVG Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 44 699 750 108), Canberra, Australia ("we", "us").

The licence

If anything here conflicts with Apple's or Google's terms, theirs apply.

Free zazen and the full practice

Free zazen includes everything for one period of sitting, in one saved session. The full practice adds several periods in one sitting, kinhin between them or after the last, kinhin on its own, and as many sessions as you like. It is offered as a monthly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app and in the store before you buy, in your local currency, and include any taxes the store collects.

Subscriptions and the free trial

Lifetime purchase

The lifetime purchase is a single payment that opens the full practice on your Apple or Google account for as long as Sodo is available in that store. You can restore it on another phone signed in to the same account with "Restore purchases".

Refunds

Payments are made to Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them under their policies: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Google Play order history. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.

A meditation timer, not health advice

Sodo is a timer for meditation practice. It does not give medical or psychological advice. If you have a health condition, ask a qualified professional whether sitting or walking meditation suits you, and stop if you feel unwell.

Changes to Sodo and these terms

We may improve or change Sodo, and update these terms. If a change affects what you have paid for, we will say so in the app or on this page before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
